Asia Consulting Group (ACG) was founded in 1994 by a group of Asian expatriate & American consultants working with top consulting firms in the United States & Europe. Mr. S.C. Ho, the then Chairman of CIDC (China Investment Development Corporation) was ACG's Chairman. ACG has assessed the Power & Energy markets of 45 countries in Asia. Its' clients include global Power & Energy companies & financial institutions including the World Bank.
Global InfraSys (GIS) was launched in 2002 under the Chairmanship of Mr. Nasser Munjee, who is also the Chairman of DCB (Development Credit Bank) & the former MD of IDFC (Infrastructure Development Finance Co.) The GIS vision is to advise clients on global infrastructure strategies across all 195 countries and 70 territories.
Mr. Vishvjeet Kanwarpal has been the CEO & Managing Director of Asia Consulting Group (P) Ltd. since 1995 & Global InfraSys (P) Ltd. since 2002. Prior to this he was a Senior Consultant with EDS/JSA International Inc., based in Cambridge and Paris. Mr. Kanwarpal is a graduate of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), USA.
ACG & GIS have the same shareholding structure and in 2008 the two firms were merged. The combined firm is referred to as Global InfraSys or GIS-ACG. The firm has its offices in New Delhi & Gurgaon, India.
